It used the same engine as FO3, and it was not 'broken ass' as FO:NV. They only gave a limited amount of time for the game to be made, so Obsidian didnt have the time to fix anything about the broken ass engine.
it is mainly bethesdas fault it runs ♥♥♥♥. So yea, download that and then listen to that 2nd YouTube video 1st then the 1st one I hope this helps. one thing they dont tell you is that you NEED to here: to get the newest version of New Vegas Script Extender because they dont update the nexus mods one anymore for some reason I heard they only update on there website now. The 2nd one was more easier and understandable though so watch that first. Anywho.i did a combo of both things from here: & here. FO3 actually you walked ALOT faster with 100 Agility but not in this game. the ONLY thing that i hate about this game and FO3 was not being able to sprint or walk faster. a couple crashes here and there but nothing like this game. especially when you have a 2000$ computer that can run every "next gen" title at 80fps 1440p ultra butter smooth, but a game from 14 yrs ago cant? Its weird because Fallout 3 ran better than this game and i didnt even install any mods on it straight Vanilla. and even after all that its still acting goofy (sometimes freezes and still cant alt tab out even with the mod) we shouldnt have to do this stuff to play these old games. I had to install about 10 mods just to get this game to run smooth without crashing and stuttering.
